At Oxley Park Academy children have the opportunity to take part in our innovative enrichment programme. Curriculum Enrichment runs on a Wednesday afternoon from 2.00pm until 3.10pm. During this time children can take part in a wide and varied range of activities which have specifically designed to impact on their learning and life experiences in one form or another. Please note that if your child is not taking part in a Curriculum Enrichment activity, they must be collected at 2pm on a Wednesday afternoon.
They may include things such as horse riding, The Caldecotte Project (sailing, canoeing, raft building, climbing, abseiling, caving and archery), Chiki Ceramiki (pottery, art and design), Parkour, Gymnastics and Oxley Glee. All activities have been included in our enrichment programme to give children the opportunity to try activities that they may not necessarily get the chance to experience, gain confidence, discover new talents, and be able to risk take in a safe environment. Activities on offer vary depending on the season and are designed to capture children's current interests and fascinations.
Enrichment time also allows our teaching staff to take part in regular whole school training sessions. This is an invaluable time and allows us as a school to continually improve upon the outstanding provision we provide. Please view our current terms enrichment activities below.
Payment and booking for enrichment activities is via SchoolComms using a credit or debit card. Please note that the whole term must be paid for in advance. Booking forms are now completed electronically within SchoolComms. For further help on using the new system click on this link
