Frequently Asked Questions
How are medicines administered?
Medicines can only be administered if a medicine form has been completed. However, if your child suffers from an ongoing medical condition that requires medicines eg. Asthma, and is using a inhaler, it is of course expected that you bring this into Nursery and a member of our Academy Admin Team will liaise with you regarding a health care plan.
What things should I tell Nursery Village staff?
Please let us know if your child has any allergies or medical conditions. We should be aware of anything your child really doesn’t like. If your child is going to be absent from Nursery or going on holiday, or your child has been affected by a change in family circumstances, please let us know. It will help us to be sensitive to your child’s moods and feelings. We would really prefer that toys are left at home, however if your child absolutely will not come to Nursery without a favourite toy, we will put it safely in the cupboard so that it does not get broken or lost.
What if my child is unwell and cannot come to the Nursery Village?
If your child is unwell, please call the Academy absence line on 01908 506899 by 8:15am. Please ensure that you do inform us as it helps us to know of any ‘bugs’ that are about. You should keep your child at home until you are sure that they are fit enough to attend, even if they nag you to come! This is especially important if they have an upset tummy or sickness, in which case, they should return no sooner than 48 hours after showing the last symptoms.
How do I pay for lunches and lunch club?
If your child is staying for a full day, the lunch club charge of £2.50 is not included within your 30 hour entitlement code, should you be using one. You will be invoiced termly for lunch club costs accrued. If you would like your child to have a meal from our Bistro for their lunch, you can pre-order using the School Gateway app on your tablet or mobile. Lunches must be pre-ordered one week in advance and cost £2.45 per day.
Can I pay for Nursery using childcare vouchers?
Yes you can, if you wish to make payment this way please contact Mrs DeHaan our Extended Services Lead at email@example.com for further information.
Can I change my child’s days or sessions?
Yes you can, but changes can only be made at the beginning of a new term (September, January, June), and we must receive notice two weeks prior to the new term to implement any changes.
