Premier Education - Ofsted Report

Welcome to our wraparound care provision...

Premier Education has been providing Oxley Park Academy's Wraparound care since September 2022 at both of our campuses.

They have been successfully delivering high-quality provision in primary schools across the country for 20 years including physical education, holiday club care, and extra-curricular sessions in sport and non-sporting activities

Since 2016 Premier Education has also been running wraparound care. Our vision for an enhanced “healthy active” provision, along with the easy customer journey for parents, means more and more schools are choosing Premier Education as their wraparound care provider.

In December 2022, Premier Education passed their Ofsted Inspection at our Oxley Park campus. The report from the inspection celebrates the wonderful provision and care towards our children in Ziggy club. This excellent news confirms our trust in Premier Education, providing this vital service for our families and us as a school. Follow the link to read the report in full 50205624 (ofsted.gov.uk)

It is of real importance for us to be working with a partner whom we trust for their quality of provision for our children.

Premier Wraparound runs our before and after school provision every day the school is open. Our promise is an outstanding, safe, secure, and fun environment that children and parents can trust.

Premier Wraparound will bring the following:

  • Access to a wider range of activities for children from gymnastics to gardening
  • A varied food menu in line with the school food standards
  • A simple online booking system where parents book and receive an instant email confirmation to easily track any bookings and reduce administration
  • A fully responsive support team who will be ready to take any calls, and queries and reply to emails with a quick turnaround
  • Bookings are available up to 60 minutes before the session in case of any last-minute changes of plan
  • No questions asked refunds for a missed session with our ‘flexi bookings’ option

Our provision starts at 7.30am and ends at 6.00pm, providing huge flexibility especially for our working families. Places are open to all children who attend Oxley Park Academy.  We run all provisions simultaneously on both campuses.

We also have a limited number of spaces for our Nursery Villagers at our Shenley Wood campus.

Life in Wraparound Care

Our wraparound care is based on a home setting where children are able to kick off their shoes and relax at the end of the school day.

With a huge variety of activities for our children to access throughout the session, there is always something to do or play with. To list just a few, children can play in the small world or home corner to enhance their imagination. For the budding builders we have a range of building blocks, K’NEX and Lego. Our artists have creative stations for drawing, colouring and painting. Having a wide range of board games for children to play, helps build their confidence and team spirit, with Bingo being the highlight of the week. Movie night is always exciting, watching a film on the big screen with popcorn. When the weather allows us we play outside.

We aren't just a wraparound club but a family to all children who attend whether that be every day or on an ad-hoc basis!

Breakfast

Breakfast Club runs from 7:30am each morning. The children are offered a buffet breakfast including cereals and toasts and spreads with milk or water to drink. We have a range of stimulating activities available to the children. At 8:30am children are then taken to their classes by a breakfast club member of staff ready to begin their learning.

Afterschool

After School Club runs from 3:00pm-6:00pm with different sessions available. We offer a substantial snack such as a wrap, pittas and sandwiches accompanied by freshly prepared fruit and vegetables with all sessions. Our experienced staff provide a wide range of creative themed activities for your child to enjoy from arts and crafts, team & board games, puzzles, computing activities and even a movie night where children can kick off their shoes and relax.
