As Executive Principal, I lead the vision and strategic direction of the academy, bringing unity and ambition to all our provisions across both thriving campuses. Together, our three vibrant and distinctive provisions create the foundation for a remarkable educational journey.
The Nursery Village welcomes children from the age of three, offering an amazing and immersive environment where their educational journey truly begins. Our Main School, Oxley Park Academy, operates across two campuses; our Oxley Park campus and our Shenley Wood campus, each offering rich, inspiring learning environments. Opening in September 2026, we are excited to introduce The Hive, our new SEND unit. Designed for 16 children, The Hive will be a warm, nurturing and stimulating provision where every learner can thrive and belong.
Across all our provisions, we place a strong emphasis on creating a genuine sense of belonging for every child and every member of staff. Each part of the academy has a clear identity, carefully designed to support a unique stage of a child’s journey. This ensures that learning feels exciting, purposeful and memorable, helping children build the experiences and connections that stay with them for life. Together, we have created a safe, inspirational and exciting learning experience, built firmly around our core values, the 6Cs: Courageous, Courteous, Co‑operative, Conscientious, Caring, and Curious. These values underpin every aspect of academy life and are lived out daily by our children and staff.
Our children are proud to be Oxley Parkers. They wear their uniforms with pride and demonstrate a readiness to learn in their attitudes, their presentation and their focus. You can see this in every room, every learning space and every corridor, our children are polite, smart, positive and deeply engaged in their learning.
Core learning sits at the heart of our curriculum. We place a strong emphasis on ensuring that every child becomes confident in reading, writing and mathematics, as these fundamental skills open doors to wider learning and opportunity. Whatever your child’s starting point, our team ensures they have the right resources, the right level of challenge and the right support to develop a genuine love for learning.
We also believe that belonging, inspiration, excitement and curiosity are key to children loving school. That is why Oxley Park Academy looks and feels different. At our Oxley campus, you will walk down “streets” rather than corridors, where children work independently and make full use of the creative spaces around them. At Shenley Wood, you’ll find light-filled open quads and beautiful views across fields and the surrounding cityscape, spaces that inspire calm, creativity and ambition.
Our curriculum is dynamic and engaging. Each term, we open a new ‘Doorway’, a thematic journey that leads each year group through a rich pathway of historical or geographical exploration. These pathways champion both our academy values and British values. Each Doorway begins with a ‘Dazzling Debut’ to ignite curiosity, and concludes with a ‘FAB Finale’ that celebrates the children’s learning in memorable and meaningful ways.
We are fortunate to have incredibly supportive parents and carers who work closely with us to help their children flourish. This partnership is vital, ensuring every child can truly be the very best they can be.
