Mrs Matthews
I am Mrs Matthews and I really enjoy my role as a Pupil Premium Champion at OPA. My focus is to ensure that every child has the support and opportunities they need to succeed. I work closely with teachers and families to help to remove barriers to learning and to make sure our Pupil Premium pupils receive the right support, both academically and emotionally. I’m always happy to talk with parents and carers about how we can work together to help every child thrive at our school.
Miss Francis
My name is Miss Francis, and I am proud to be a Pupil Premium Champion at OPA, alongside my role as an Assistant Principal. My focus is to ensure that every child is provided with the right support at the right time. I work closely with teachers and leaders to support learning and to make sure our pupils reach their full potential. I enjoy speaking with our pupils to understand what is working well for them and where they may need extra help. I have a passion for using data effectively to make sure our work has real impact.
Miss Gervin
I'm Miss Gervin and I am proud to be part of the Pupil Premium team at OPA. As a new member of the school, I am really enjoying getting to know our pupils, families and staff. My role focuses on ensuring that all children have access to the support and opportunities they need to succeed, both academically and emotionally. I am always happy to talk with parents and carers about how we can work together to help every child achieve their best. I am looking forward to building strong relationships within the school community and supporting our Pupil Premium pupils to thrive.
Miss Whiteman
I am Toni Whiteman and as the Pupil Premium Trustee at Oxley Park Academy, I oversee how the school uses its Pupil Premium funding to ensure that disadvantaged pupils receive the targeted support they need to thrive. My role involves monitoring the impact of key initiatives, holding leaders to account for improving outcomes, and ensuring that spending decisions are evidence-based and aligned with the academy’s strategic priorities. I work closely with Mrs Matthews and Miss Francis and the senior staff to review pupil progress, evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, and champion high aspirations for every child. Above all, my focus is to ensure that Pupil Premium pupils are given the opportunities, resources and encouragement they need to achieve their full potential.
